Living Skies DMC offers homestays
from one week to a year, in a urban or rural setting. The homestays
are
with
Saskatchewan host families that have been interviewed and screened
for suitability to this type of program. The participant’s
travel arrangements will be coordinated with Living Skies
DMC and a representative along with the host families will meet the
students at the airport.
Once settled in their new home there
will be an orientation session for the participant. A supervisor
will
be assigned to make sure everything goes smoothly for the participant
and the host family. If there is any problems the supervisor
will help the families to work it out or move the participant.
Living Skies DMC works with the University
of Saskatchewan to offer ESL programs. The morning is in the classroom,
with the afternoon
and weekends participating in activities.
