Saskatchewan has two mineral spas, each with its own unique character and setting. One draws its mineral-dense waters from a lake, the other from geothermal pools 4500 feet below the earth's surface.

Little Manitou Lake is mineral rich and has buoyancy three times that of the Dead Sea, which makes it impossible for anyone to sink. With a reputation for healing waters, Manitou Springs Resort on the lake's beachfront has developed into Canada's top mineral spa.

Dance the night away at Manitou Beach's Rainbow Danceland, a 1940's style dance hall famous for its horsehair-padded floor and rollicking old time and big band tunes. The next day will take you to the Last Mountain Lake National Wildlife Area on the northern tip of Last Mountain Lake. Set aside as a bird sanctuary in 1887, the first in North America. On the way back to Saskatoon, we will detour to Annaheim's House of Treasures and Keepsakes.
